Lunar New Year is an Asian festival celebrated at the turn of the lunisolar Chinese calendar. Traditionally, celebrations run from the eve to the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first calendar month. It is celebrated in multiple Asian countries and territories, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

USC Pacific Asia Museum - Lunar New Year@PAM

Southern California’s only museum and U.S. university dedicated to the arts of the Pacific and Asia. Since 1971, USC Pacific Asia Museum has served a broad audience of students, families, adults and scholars through its education and outreach programs.

Join the museum for their annual Lunar New Year festival celebrating the Year of the Snake! Visiting guests will gain free admission to the galleries, performances, artmaking workshops, food trucks and more.

Lunar New Year at The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens

February 1 - 2, 2025

Celebrate the Lunar New Year and welcome the Year of the Snake at the Lunar New Year Festival at The Huntington. This family-friendly event features lion dancers, a mask-changing artist, martial arts demonstrations, contemporary dance, floral arts, and more.

Lunar New Year at One Colorado

February 8, 2025

Join One Colorado for a festive and family-friendly celebration of Lunar New Year and the Year of the Snake. Dance along to live traditional music before enjoying group performances interpreting their perspective of the lion and dragon. There will be red envelope giveaways for guests containing special promotions.
