Historic Hotel
Built in 1898, the Castle Green was built by Colonel Green. It was designed by Frederick I. Roehrig with influences of Moorish, Spanish and Victorian elements.
It was an annex to Hotel Green which was located across the street, where Stats is today. Castle Green was originally called the "Central Annex," and a third building called the Wooster Block came after it. There once was a pedestrian bridge that connected Hotel Green to the Central Annex (Castle Green) but most of it was demolished along with the Hotel Green. Today you can still see a portion of it the pedestrian walkway in front of Hotel Green.
The hotel was divided into 52 individually owned units as it remains today and is a beloved location for weddings, events and filming.
Iconic Films include The Sting, Last Samurai, Live by Night, Babylon, among many others.
