  • A Century of Monster Makers

    Horror aficionados and the creative professionals who bring these scary creatures to life will return to the Pasadena Convention Center April 12-14 for the 11th Monsterpalooza. The show is for fans as well as industry professionals with more than 250 exhibitors, live makeup demonstrations, celebrity meet and greets, and a Monster Museum exhibition.

    Monster Museum

    Visit the Monster Museum to view props from motion pictures and television shows, as well as installations by award winning artists.

    Monsterpalooza Theatre

    Attend unique presentations at the Monsterpalooza Theatre featuring actors and directors of the horror film genre, as well as screenwriters and special effects artists. Past presentations include An American Warewold in London, The Howling, Predator, Tremors, The Exorcist, and Return of the Living Dead.

    James Jude Courtney | An American actor and stunt performer. He is known for his work in Halloween 2018, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer

    Vivica A. Fox |  An American actress. She is known for her work in Independence Day, Kill Bill: Volume 1, Empire, and Curb Your Enthusiasm (Sunday only)

    Chris Sarandon | An American actor. He is known for his work in The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Princess Bride, Fright Night, and Child’s Play

    Ken Page | An American actor best known for his work in The Nightmare Before Christmas, All Dogs Go To Heaven, and Dreamgirls

    Rhian Rees |  An English actor, known for her roles in Halloween 2018, The Lears, Disengaged, and Rehearsal

    Tom Savini | An American actor, stunt performer, film director, and prosthetic makeup artist

    Pollyann McIntosh | An American actress. She is known for her work in The Walking Dead, Land of the Lost, Burke and Hare, Tales of Halloween, and Darlin

    Children under 10 years of age are free with paid adult admission. Note: Strollers are not permitted.



    Parking at the convention center is $15 per day for up to 16 hours or $21 per day for in and out privileges. The subterranean parking structure is shared with the Sheraton Pasadena. The entrance is located on Euclid Avenue between Green Street and Cordova Street. Additionally, parking is available in several private structures around the convention center, these are operated by The Paseo. More info→

    Public Transportation – Metro Gold Line

    The Pasadena Convention Center is within walking distance of two Metro Gold Line stations, Del Mar Station and Memorial Park Station. If you are traveling southbound toward East Los Angeles / Union Station, detrain at Memorial Park; if you are traveling northbound towards Sierra Madre Villa, detrain at Del Mar Station.

    The Sheraton Pasadena adjacent to the Pasadena Convention Center, across from Paseo Colorado, and within walking distance of Old Pasadena.
