We are deeply heartbroken by the devastation caused by the Eaton Fire in our cherished city and neighboring communities. Our hearts are with all those affected.
The safety of our residents and visitors is our top priority and we remain committed to doing all that we can to support the City as this tragedy unfolds.
We are incredibly thankful for the brave firefighters and first responders who continue to selflessly work on the frontlines to keep us safe. Their dedication and courage in the face of danger are nothing short of inspiring.
For those who are under mandatory evacuation orders and in need of a safe space, please know that the Pasadena Convention Center is available to you as a shelter managed by the Red Cross and located at 300 E Green St. A Disaster Recovery Center is located at the Pasadena City College Community Education Center located at 3035 E. Foothill Blvd.Pasadena, CA 91106.
We greatly appreciate the outpouring of support for our community. We have received many inquiries about volunteers and other needs. At this time, the evacuation center is at full capacity for donations and volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up with the Red Cross at http://RedCross.org/volunteer. The Pasadena Community Foundation (PCF) has opened the Eaton Fire Relief and Recovery Fund providing an opportunity for those who want to support immediate and longer term needs. Is water in Pasadena safe to drink?
Do not use the tap water for drinking and cooking in the impacted areas until further notice. Do not drink your tap water and use only bottled water. Do not try and treat the water yourself. City of Pasadena will inform you when tests show that the water is safe again.

Where is the FEMA Disaster Resource Center?
Disaster Resource Centers will open to the public on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00PM. Starting Wednesday, January 15, 2025, the Disaster Resource Centers will be available to the public from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Where/How can I volunteer to help?

Canine Rescue Club
The club is looking for volunteers to offer temporary foster care for dogs displaced by the fires. You can apply to temporarily house an affected dog by filling out an online form.

The Pasadena Community Foundation (PCF) has opened the Eaton Fire Relief and Recovery Fund providing an opportunity for those who want to support immediate and longer term needs of those who were impacted by the Eaton Fire. PCF has seeded the fund with an initial $100,000. The Eaton Fire Relief and Recovery Fund will direct resources to funds supporting non-profits active in place-based relief and recovery efforts. The Pasadena Humane Society (PHS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the welfare and well-being of animals in the Pasadena area. It provides services such as animal rescue, adoption, and veterinary care, as well as community outreach programs aimed at promoting responsible pet ownership.

Eaton Canyon Nature Center
Eaton Canyon Nature Center is a public nature center located in the San Gabriel Mountains that offers a range of educational programs and activities focused on local wildlife, ecology, and conservation.
Altadena Mountain Rescue Team
The Altadena Mountain Rescue Team (AMRT) is a volunteer-based organization that provides search and rescue services in the San Gabriel Mountains and surrounding areas. The team is trained in wilderness rescue techniques and is called upon to assist local authorities in locating and rescuing lost or injured hikers, climbers, and other civilians in challenging and rugged terrain.

Disaster Recovery Center
With support from FEMA and the state, the City and County are partnering to open local assistance and disaster resource centers, a one-stop shop where Angelenos can ask questions, obtain assistance, recovery services, and resources. Resources will be available for the foreseeable future and residents will be able to access these resources for the next several weeks.
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Resources
FEMA officials are currently onsite at the Pasadena Convention Center to offer help on how to apply for FEMA assistance.
FEMA officials will also be present at the Pasadena City College Community Education Center to assist residents impacted by the wildfires on Tuesday, January 14 between 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Starting Wednesday, January 15, the center will be open daily from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
