Micro is Metro’s on-demand rideshare service, offering trips within Pasadena, Altadena, and Sierra Madre as well as in other zones across LA County. The new service is for short local trips and uses small vehicles (seating up to 10 passengers). Micro’s on-demand trips are meant to be a fast, safe, and convenient option for quick trips around town.

Micro operates Monday-Sunday from 5:30am-10pm and offers hundreds of pick up/drop off points within Pasadena, Altadena, and Sierra Madre. Some of the top destinations for Metro Micro riders include Pasadena’s most popular shopping centers, hiking spots, and top academic institutions.

Booking Your Ride

Bookings can be made on-demand up to 7 days in advance. An option to book for multiple days with the same pick-up and drop-off schedule is available.

Metro Micro app is the fastest way to book a ride. The app can be downloaded on any Apple or Android device.
Online at Metro Micro. When booking online, you will not receive automatic alerts about the status of your trip as you would when using the mobile app.

Fares

Base Fare per person: $2.50

Senior/People with Disabilities Fare Program: $1.00

Children under 6: Free with paid caregiver boarding
Please note Metro Micro does not currently offer car seats or booster seats.

Metro Micro accepts a debit card or credit card on your Metro Micro account. Alternatively, when you board the vehicle, you can pay with your TAP card. When paid with a TAP card, this fare includes free transfers to Metro bus and rail services, as well as to municipal bus services. Transfers from other Metro services to Metro Micro will cost 75 cents. Cash payment is not accepted on board. Load a TAP card with cash at a TAP vending machine at any Metro A Line Station.
