Eaton Canyon

Plan Your Visit

Reservations are required for entrance to Eaton Canyon Natural Area and access to the Eaton Canyon trail system. Reservations open one week at a time. On Tuesdays between 10-12 p.m. reservations will open for the following Saturday through Friday. The park is closed to the public on Mondays and Tuesdays. Only one reservation per household per day. Each reservation will permit entry for one vehicle or up to four people walking in. No need to make a reservation for each person in your party. Reservations are free and must be made in advance. No same-day reservations or walk-ins allowed.


Hiking Trails in Pasadena

Eaton Canyon is a 190-acre zoological, botanical, and geological nature preserve at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. While hikers enjoy the Lower Falls Trail, visitors can take advantage of other hiking trails, equestrian trails with a staging area, picnic areas, a seasonal stream, rocks and minerals, natural habitats, native plants, and wildlife.
