Metrolink to Union Station and then A Line to Pasadena (Del Mar Station) is most efficient (especially the convenience for a group). The total travel time is 69 minutes (including the approx. 9 min. walk from Bob Hope to Metrolink station).

Bob Hope Airport Train Station

The Bob Hope Airport Train Station is located directly across the street on Empire Avenue, it is serviced by the Metrolink Ventura County Line and the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner. If you needed to, you can take a train to Union Station and then transfer to the A Line, but the Metro Express 501 is a more direct route. This video shows you how easy it is to get to the airport from the train station:

Regional Intermodal Transportation Center

Metro Bus and BurbankBus also provide service to the ground level of the Airport's Regional Intermodal Transportation Center. BurbankBus expanded service on the NoHo-Airport route which connects passengers to the North Hollywood Metro Station, there riders can access both the Metro Red Line and Orange Line.

Official Airport of the Rose Bowl

Hollywood Burbank Airport is the official airport of the Rose Bowl Stadium and an official sponsor of UCLA Athletics.

Get Real ID Ready

Beginning May 3, 2023, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security will require every American traveling by air to present a REAL ID-compliant driver's license (or another acceptable form of ID such as a U.S. passport) to go through airport security checkpoints and board their flight.

That means beginning May 3, 2023, your traditional driver's license will no longer be accepted through airport security. If you don't see a star or U.S. flag on your current driver's license, that means you are not REAL ID-compliant.

Unless you plan to use your U.S. passport or Global Entry for every single domestic flight, you must go to a California DMV to get a REAL ID. Before lines at your local DMV get even longer, I encourage you plan ahead and make an appointment online, up to three months in advance. You'll also be able to fill out the online application to save time during your DMV visit and learn which documentation you'll have to bring with you to obtain a REAL ID.

For questions or specific step-by-step instructions on obtaining a REAL ID-compliant driver's license in California, please check with the California DMV: https://realid.dmv.ca.gov/

Our partners at U.S. Travel have created a comprehensive fact sheet that outlines everything you need to know about getting #REALIDready.
