Dan is a modern Chinese eatery known for its dumplings and noodles – mainly its "xiao long bao" (XLB). XLB, sometimes referred to as soup dumplings, are a traditional Chinese steamed bun from the Jianan region. XLB are traditionally associated with dim sum meals and prepared in a steaming basket. The XLB are filled with meat, and accompanied with a savory soup that bursts into your mouth when you bite into them. Think of it as the Chinese version of "comfort food."
