Castle Green

Historic Hotel

Built in 1898, the Castle Green was designed with influence of Moorish, Spanish and Victorian elements. It was an annex to Hotel Green which was located across the street, where Stats is today. Castle Green was originally called the "Central Annex," and a third building called the Wooster Block came after it. There once was a pedestrian bridge that connected Hotel Green to the Central Annex (Castle Green) but most of it was demolished along with the Hotel Green. Today you can still see a portion of it the pedestrian walkway in front of Hotel Green.
