Skating Rink in Pasadena

The Pasadena Ice Skating Center is a beloved ice skating rink located on the campus of the Pasadena Convention Center. The rink is housed in a large, white tent-like structure on the southeast end of the convention center.


Pasadena Ice Skating Center offers a variety of programs suitable for adults and children over the age of three. Public skating sessions are offered everyday; figure skating lessons, hockey lessons, and hockey clinics are also offered. Because the rink is home to the Pasadena Maple Leafs and the Pasadena Figure Skating Club, the facility often hosts major competitions.

The Pasadena Ice Skating Center was first located on 171 S. Arroyo Parkway adjacent to Del Mar Station. In 1976, the rink moved two blocks east to an exhibition hall at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, and stayed there for 35 years. In 2011, after a new Pasadena Convention Center was built around the Civic Auditorium, the rink moved into in the Pasadena Convention Center‘s former ballroom, Pasadena Ice Skating Center opened a brand new facility in September of 2011 after faithfully providing 35 years of family fun entertainment.
