Street Parking Guidelines
Due to parade-related road closures, visitors are strongly encouraged to park before 6 a.m., especially near the parade route. Do not rely on GPS, as road closures may not be reflected in navigation apps. No parking is allowed on the parade route, and any vehicles left there will be towed.
Key Rules & Regulations:
- Holiday Overnight Parking Moratorium: Vehicles legally parked on city streets from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. between December 23 and January 3 are exempt from overnight citations. Overnight citations resume at 2 a.m. on January 4.
- No Parking / Tow-Away Zones: Always follow the posted dates and times. Violations for parking on red curbs, blocking driveways, or obstructing fire hydrants will be enforced at all times.
- Curb Markings: Adhere to all painted curbs, accessible parking, taxi, fire, and bus zones. Enforcement continues during events.
- Legal Street Parking: Cars, campers, and RVs are permitted to park in all designated spaces. Posted restrictions (1hr, 2hr, 4hr, etc.) are enforced, except on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
- Impounds & Violations: Illegally parked vehicles may be impounded. Call Pasadena Police at (626) 744-4501 if your car is towed. Parking violations can be reported to Parking Enforcement at (626) 744-6440.
- Safety Inspections: Vehicles parked within one block of the parade route may be subject to search if there is a public safety concern.
