Ambiance

The Victorian brick building’s interior design blends Modernist and Art Deco elements of Los Angeles with a rustic color palette and textiles of Mexico. It is outfitted with floor length mirrors, leather cigar chairs and a brass bar; it also houses a yellow, rich velvet communal couch that spans the length of the dining room. Maestro’s patio is equally curated to take advantage of California’s weather year-round.

Chef Daniel Godinez

A native of Acapulco, Mexico, Godinez’s menu pays homage to authentic restaurants in Mexico that specialize in regional cuisine. His specialty, chilaquiles, is on the menu featuring layers of crispy tortilla chips, omelet-style eggs, seven pepper red sauce, cotija cheese, sour cream, avocado mousse and fresh pico de gallo. The entire menu was inspired by a backpacking trip to each of Mexico’s 31 states, in which Godinez rediscovered his passion for food from his patria.

Maestro is open Tuesday through Sunday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
