April 20, 2020

Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau's Taylor Fry named one of Destination International’s 2020 30 Under 30 recipients.

Pasadena, CA, (April 20, 2020) – The Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce that Taylor Fry, the organization’s National Sales Manager, has been named one of Destination International’s 2020 30 Under 30 recipients consisting of a group of highly talented young professionals in the destination organization industry. The program is part of the Destinations International Foundation’s commitment to investing in the leaders of tomorrow through professional development and mentorship opportunities.

As a Pasadena native, Fry joined the CVB’s Sales team in 2017 and is responsible for promoting the city as a leading destination for conventions and meetings. Working closely with meeting planners, Fry helps to identify, develop and successfully book events in Pasadena. As a result, he also helps drive hotel room-night production for Pasadena hotels.

“We are extremely proud of Taylor’s acceptance into Destination International’s 2020 class. Over the past two years, he has been a great asset to the Sales team by contributing a wealth of knowledge and industry relationships that have proven valuable to our organization,” said Jeanne Goldschmidt, executive director of the Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau. “We look forward to seeing Taylor grow through this opportunity.”

“The 30 Under 30 program remains critical to our organization’s vision and mission,” said Don Welsh, president and CEO of Destinations International. “Especially in these uncertain times, we are especially excited to announce these young professionals as they are the future of the travel and tourism industry.’

The 30 individuals, 30 years of age and under, will have the opportunity to engage in professional development opportunities throughout 2020 and beyond. The honorees originate from a variety of destination organizations of all sizes and countries. The program will focus on year-round professional development, including regular interactive webinars and an online community to share ideas.

“We’re proud to be the founding partner for this program, now in its 10th year,” said Mike Gamble, president and CEO of SearchWide Global. “This year we celebrate these rising stars who one day will lead our industry with the experience of our current challenges.
