“America’s Got Talent: The Champions” Returns to the Pasadena Civic Auditorium October 3rd to tape an all-new season

Pasadena, CA, (October 3, 2019) – The first-ever “Got Talent” global brand extension, “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” returns to the iconic Pasadena Civic Auditorium for a second season. Serving as the home for the inaugural season of “Champions” as well as the early taped auditions for “America’s Got Talent,” this historic venue continues to shine brightly upon Pasadena as an entertainment destination for Hollywood. This winter, the revered performance hall will be home to Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker (December 4th), and the Lythgoe Family Panto will celebrate its 10-year anniversary with the production of A Snow White Christmas 2.0, December 13th-22nd.

Internationally known for the Tournament of Roses Parade and Rose Bowl Game, Pasadena also has a long history of being one of Hollywood’s prime filming locations for award-winning TV shows and movies. “Over the past four years, we’ve been fortunate to have ‘America’s Got Talent’ not only film inside the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, but showcase its remarkable beauty around the world,” said Jeanne Goldschmidt, executive director of the Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau. “We are thrilled to have ‘America’s Got Talent: The Champions’ in Pasadena and look forward to audience members enjoying our beautiful city.”

Built in 1932, during the Great Depression, the Pasadena Civic Auditorium has welcomed millions of patrons across Southern California. Inspired by Mediterranean Revival architecture, the 3,000-seat theatre has hosted countless concerts and plays, including but not limited to the Daytime Emmy Awards, NAACP Image Awards and in 1983, Motown 25 where Michael Jackson debuted the Moonwalk. The venue has also been used for film and television shows such as “Alias,” “American Idol,” “So You Think You Can Dance,” “Scandal” and “NCIS.”

“America’s Got Talent: The Champions” will bring together the world’s most talented, memorable and all-around fan favorite acts from past seasons of “AGT” and around the globe from the other “Got Talent” franchises,” spanning 194 territories. These all-star acts, which include former winners and finalists, will once again take the stage to compete in a massive global competition with the hopes of claiming the ultimate title of World Champion.
