As the director of marketing and communications for the Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau, my role is to promote Pasadena as a meetings and leisure destination. My team serves as brand storytellers for the city – sharing what makes it a unique and captivating place around the country. We execute a marketing and communications strategy across numerous channels – online, print collateral, video, advertising and public relations. I also work closely with our districts, museums, attractions, institutions and hotels to bring that story to life.

I fell in love with Pasadena because its streets and stories are steeped in history. As a former urban planner, I have a love for great cities that are bustling withcreativity, iconic architecture and culture. Our downtown districts have done such a wonderful job in creating places that people want to experience. My favorite“hidden gems” are public art pieces like Kenton Nelson’s mosaic behind Intelligentsia and ArtCenter’s graffiti-based mural. I also can’t get enough of our charming alleyways sprinkled through Old Pasadena. The holidays aren’t complete without seeing Lythgoe Family Panto’s production, checking out the light displays at Descanso Gardens and The Arboretum, and of course the Rose Parade.
