Sri Lanka Festival at City Hall
Experience Sri Lankan culture at the annual Sri Lanka Day celebration at Pasadena City Hall. Every year, this festival brings the island nation to sunny Southern California. Thousands of visitors come together to enjoy history, music, dance, cuisine, fashion and the many other special aspects of Sri Lankan culture. Taste traditional foods such as hoppers, kottu roti, rice and curry, along with desserts; take in the beautiful colorfuls of Sri Lankan clothing, ornate accessories, souvenirs, and artifacts; and a Sri Lankan parade, the Kandy Perahera, features theatre elephants the size of real elephants.
Sri Lanka Foundation
The Sri Lanka Foundation is dedicated in the preservation of Sri Lankan culture, the foundation produces Sri Lanka Day, a spectacle of sights, tastes, and colors of Sri Lanka, for generations of Sri Lankans to pass down the culture and history of Sri Lanka to the next generation.
