  • Halloween for the Family

    Pumpkin Festival is a family-friendly event that includes activities for kids of all ages and their parents. The festivities take place at Brookside Park, directly in front of Kidspace Children’s Museum.

    Activities

    Kids will enjoy a petting zoo, pony rides, exciting bouncers, carnival games, and seasonal crafts. Everyone can partake in a costume parade, make home crafts, partake in face painting, and select pumpkins from the pumpkin patch.  There will also be a book and costume sale, and savor tasty picnic treats.

    Free Admission & Entertainment

    Festival admission is free, as well as live music and performances.  Tickets will be available for purchase to enjoy food and other festival attractions.

    Free Parking

    Free parking is available at Lot I of the Rose Bowl, adjacent to Brookside Park.

    Public Transportation

    Take the Metro Gold Line to Memorial Park Station; walk 335 feet (.1 km) to the corner of Raymond Avenue and Holly Street and catch Pasadena Transit Route 51 (Saturday) to the Rose Bowl. On Saturdays the Metro Gold Line runs approximately every 12 mins on peak, and Pasadena Transit runs approximately every 22 mins. Easily plan your trip from beginning to end, and get real-time bus and train times by using Google Transit or Go511.

    The Circle of Friends

    The annual Pumpkin Festival is organized by the museum’s volunteer support group, The Circle of Friends, and offers even the youngest children a fun and safe way to celebrate the season.  All proceeds benefit Kidspace Children’s Museum. A philanthropic group of more than 100 women from Pasadena, Altadena, San Marino, La Canada and surrounding areas who are dedicated to supporting, with funds and volunteer hours, the operation of Kidspace Children’s Museum.  There are more than 100 Founders Circle members, women who were active in the group for five years and continue to support the museum on a more limited basis.
