  • Halloween in Old Pasadena

    The whole family will will have a frightfully good time at the Old Pasadena Halloween Celebration. Enjoy festivities such as a the annual Pumpkin Decorating Extravaganza and a movie screening.  Fun Halloween festivities will be provided for little ones to enjoy. There will also be a doggy costume parade and  trick-or-treating along Colorado Boulevard and in the One Colorado Courtyard.

    One Colorado’s Annual Pumpkin Decorating

    On Saturday, October 28 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, get busy with glue sticks and washable markers creating your own great pumpkin during the Pumpkin Decorating at One Colorado. Pumpkins are provided on a first-come, first-served basis; all creations go home with their creators. Located at 41 Hugus Alley.

    Growl-o-ween at The Dog Bakery

    On Saturday, October 28 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, bring your doggie to The Dog Bakery for a costume contest.  Have your pooch dressed to impress for the doggy Growl-O-Ween parade. Located at 36 W. Colorado Blvd. Suite 3 (on Mill Place).


    On Saturday, October 31st from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, meet and greet with costumed characters as you trick-or-treat along Colorado Blvd. at more than 100 participating businesses. Be sure to look for the Old Pasadena Ambassador Guides who will be handing out Halloween eggs filled with surprises. Head on over to One Colorado and take a picture in front of a Halloween themed background along with dozens of pumpkins.


    Beginning at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 31, enjoy the movie ParaNorman. The movie is about young Norman Badcock who is able to speak with the dead. He prefers there company over that of the living. An old witch’s curse on the town is going to come true unless Norman can stop it and save the townspeople.

    Getting there

    There are two Metro Gold Line stations near Old Pasadena.

    Memorial Park Station at 125 E. Holly St. and the Del Mar Station at 230 S. Ryamond Ave.

    The Memorial Park Station has 8 bike rack spaces and 16 bike lockers.

    The Del Mar Station has $2 Parking for Metro riders and 26 bike rack spaces.

    There are more than 7,500 parking spaces throughout Old Pasadena, including public and private garages, surface lots and street parking.
