LA Galaxy vs. LAFC Season Opener

The LA Galaxy’s postponed match against LAFC has been rescheduled for Tuesday, July 4 (7:30 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass) at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, Calif.
Originally scheduled for Feb. 25, the LA Galaxy’s match against LAFC was rescheduled due to safety considerations resulting from inclement weather and forecasted thunderstorms in the Los Angeles area. Tickets originally purchased for the Feb. 25 original match date between the LA Galaxy and LAFC will be honored for the rescheduled match date on July 4.
In 17 all-time matches played across all competitions of El Tráfico, the Galaxy lead the all-time series 7-5-5. In nine all-time home matches played across all competitions against LAFC, the Galaxy hold an unbeaten record of 7-0-2 (21 GF, 11 GA). The LA Galaxy played their first-ever MLS regular-season match at Rose Bowl Stadium in a 2-1 win over the New York/New Jersey MetroStars on April 13, 1996. In 107 all-time regular-season and playoff games played at Rose Bowl Stadium, the Galaxy hold a combined record of 86-32-9 record (.713 win percentage).
St. Louis CITY SC is Major League Soccer’s newest expansion club that will compete in the Western Conference. The Galaxy are set to square off against St. Louis twice in 2023, with the two clubs first set to face off against one another on Sunday, June 11 (10:00 a.m. PT; MLS Season Pass / FOX) at Citypark in St. Louis, Mo., and then once again on Sunday, Sept. 10 (5:00 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass) at Dignity Health Sports Park.
