  • The Colorful Spirit

    E. Charlton Fortune: The Colorful Spirit is on view August 20 through January 7, 2018 at the Pasadena Museum of California Art (PMCA). This exhibition displays the life and career of famed California Impressionist E. Charlton Fortune, circa 1928. She emphasized humanity’s impact on the land and was best known for colorful landscapes featuring architecture and elements of modern life as well as figures, many of them female.

    On the first Friday of each month, everyone receives free admission between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM.

    Third Thursdays

    The PMCA is one block north of Colorado Blvd., between Los Robles Ave. and Oakland Ave. Free parking is available on the ground floor, with additional public parking located on Union Street—directly north of the Museum.

    Take the Metro Gold Line to Memorial Park Station, walk south on Arroyo Parkway, then head east on Union St. for five blocks. The PMCA is located on the south side of Union St., just before Oakland Ave. Go Metro and save $2 on general admission. Metro→
