    Designer Con 2017 is an annual art and design convention that smashes together collectible toys and designer goods with urban, underground and pop art. DCon is over 90,000 sq. ft. and features over 400 vendors, art and custom shows, live demonstrations and more. The show coordinators strive to provide a fun, safe, comfortable environment for fans, artists and vendors to meet.  The show happens every November at the Pasadena Convention Center for a weekend of fun, toys and art.

    The show is a fan fest, it’s about having fun and meeting your favorite artists, designers, and manufacturers — it incorporates everything from the world of design such as apparel, plush, printing, sculpture, designer toys, and art ranging from fine to urban.

    What to Expect

    At Designer Con you will find all your favorite artists and brands. With over 400 vendors and artists, art shows, show exclusive items, panels and presentations, and more.

    Live Panels and Party

    As part of the VIP ticket, you will have access to live panels and the Saturday night party. The MC for the panels and party will be Mark Brickey, the host of Adventures in Design. Dance to the sounds of Z-Trip at the party on Saturday night. Z-Trip’s style of mixing has been recognized with the award for America’s Best DJ. Watch some of the hottest artists battle it out during the live art battle called Secret Walls. Remember the evening with exclusive merchandise from Mishka.

    Where to Stay

    Hilton Pasadena is the Designer Con official hotel. Other hotels near the Pasadena Convention Center include: Sheraton PasadenaWestin PasadenaCourtyard by Marriott Old Pasadena, dusitD2 Hotel Constance, and Residence Inn Marriott Pasadena.


    Parking is available at the Pasadena Convention Center‘s subterranean parking structure for $13, it is shared with the Sheraton and the entrance is located on Euclid Avenue between Green Street and Cordova Street. There are parking lots in the area surrounding the convention center, including Paseo Colorado. More info…

    Metro Gold Line

    The Metro Gold Line is a light rail train system that runs from Downtown Los Angeles to Pasadena. There are two train station within walking distance, (1) Del Mar Station is three blocks away, it is about ten minutes to walk to to the Convention Center and there is a small hill. Memorial Park Station is four blocks away, it takes about eight minutes to walk to the Convention Center and there are no hills on this route. Cost is $1.75 per person each way, students k-12 pay $1 each way.
