Japanese
People who know of Hiroshi Ikeda might better recognize him by his nickname, Ike-san. He ran Sushi Ike, a beloved sushi bar in Hollywood, until moving to Old Pasadena. Ike-san's technique is classic, and it's all about the sushi here. It's not a trendy sushi spot serving sushi-inspired creations nor is it coupled with a tricked out space decorated by a team of designers. You'll be hard pressed to find a menu, Ike-san takes an omakase approach, his menu changes daily based what he has personally picked at the early morning fish market.
