Mark Peel, a pioneer of the California Cuisine movement opened a casual seafood spot in a scenic alleyway in Old Pasadena. The restaurant spotlights locally-sourced seafood from the California coast and savory broths, as well a raw bar and items like Thai lobster roll and a grain bowl that can be easily customized for vegan and vegetarian diets.

Mark Peel

Highly regarded as a pioneer of California Cuisine, Chef Mark Peel’s impressive resume includes Ma Maison, Spago, and Chez Panisse before setting out to establish his own L.A. landmarks, Campanile and La Brea Bakery (with is former partner, Nancy Silverton). Mark returns to his hometown of Pasadena with a decidedly more casual concept than what the public is used to associating him with, fusing fine-dining with fast casual.
