RECEIVE INDUSTRY ACCOLADES
PASADENA, Calif. – The Pasadena Convention Center and Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) have both received a Planners’ Choice Award from the readers of “MeetingNews.” The Pasadena CVB has also earned a Readers’ Choice Award from the subscribers of “Sports Events Magazine.”
“It is an honor to be recognized with these distinguished awards,” said Michael Ross, CEO of the Pasadena Center Operating Company, the parent company of both organizations. “They are a testament to the professionalism of both staffs and the appeal of this dynamic destination.”
“MeetingNews” Planners’ Choice Awards
More than 40,000 meeting, convention and incentive travel planners who are part of the “MeetingNews” community were asked to select preferred organizations based on service quality. The Pasadena Convention Center was one of only 10 convention centers nationwide to receive the coveted award. The Pasadena Convention Center was chosen based upon the service and expertise of the staff, design and quality of the facility, quality of the food service, its desirable location, and its green initiatives.
The Pasadena CVB was one of 33 convention and visitors bureaus given the distinction. The Pasadena CVB was commended for the expertise of its staff, quality and number of services provided, its quick response time, and aid with community initiatives.
“Sports Events Magazine” Readers’ Choice Award
The readers of “Sports Events Magazine,” who are comprised primarily of sports event planners, were asked to nominate and vote for the best sports-friendly destinations. Pasadena and the Pasadena CVB earned the industry’s vote by providing exemplary service, hospitality and the physical amenities that sports event planners expect from a host city.
