MODERN ICE RINK IN PASADENA CONVENTION CENTER’S PAVILION TO BE TOPIC OF COMMUNITY MEETING
WHAT: The Pasadena Center Operating Company is hosting an informational community meeting to review plans for developing a modern, full-sheet ice skating rink in the Pavilion at the Pasadena Convention Center. Located on the southeast corner of the property, the Pavilion was used to host events during construction of the Pasadena Convention Center expansion.
WHY: The lease at the current ice rink, located in the historic ballroom at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, expires in September 2011. The current owners, Pasadena Ice Skating Center, Inc., have indicated they will vacate the property at that time, leaving Pasadena without an ice rink.
