    Politicon is a full weekend of panels, debates, TV and movie screenings, art podcasts, comedy shows, Q&A’s book readings, interviews, meet & greets, art exhibitions and music performances.

    Non-Partisan Event

    The quintessential non-partisan event will take place at the Pasadena Convention Center. On hand will be representatives from all sides of the political spectrum with the some of the biggest names in politics and the quick witted voices in comedy and entertainment. There will be twelve rooms from fifty seats to a large auditorium where you can get up close and personal with political heavyweights.  Talk with filmmakers on documentaries and parodies; and interact with some historical great leaders.

    Ann Coulter: Legal correspondent for Human Events and writes a popular syndicated column for Universal Press Syndicate.  She is frequently a guest on television shows and has been profiled in numerous publications. Coulter was also named one of the top 100 public intellectuals by federal judge Richard Posner. More >

    Bill Nye: Scientist, engineer, comedian, author, and inventor. He hosted the television show, Bill Nye The Science Guy in the 90s, today he is the CEO of Planetary Society, the world’s largest space-interest group. More >

    Democracy Village

    Democracy Village encompasses a multitude of organizations, vendors, and digital platforms spanning both sides of the political spectrum on a variety of issues. Explore booth and table spaces with items ranging from political board games to collectibles. Local non-profit groups and national political organizations will be on hand as well.

    Parking

    Parking at the convention center is $12 per day for up to 16 hours or $18 per day for in and out privileges. The subterranean parking structure is shared with the Sheraton Pasadena. The entrance is located on Euclid Avenue between Green Street and Cordova Street. Additionally, parking is available in several private structures around the convention center, these are operated by Paseo Colorado. More info…

    Driving Directions

    The Pasadena Convention Center is located in downtown Pasadena, off of the 210 freeway as well as the 110 freeway. For detailed direction click here or visit Google Maps.

    Metro Gold Line

    The Metro Gold Line is a light rail train that runs between East Los Angeles, Downtown Los Angeles, Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley. There are two train station within walking distance to the Pasadena Convention Center, (1) Del Mar Station is three blocks away, it is about ten minutes to walk partially up a small hill. (2) Memorial Park Station is four blocks away, it takes eight minutes to walk and there are no hills on this route. Cost is $1.75 per person each way, students k-12 pay $1 each way. More…
