    During ArtNight Pasadena, enjoy a free evening of art, music and entertainment as Pasadena’s most prominent arts and cultural institutions swing open their doors. Begin your journey at any one of our 17 participating cultural institutions, where free shuttles will be waiting to transport you to your next destination. Last fall, 28,000 people experienced the excitement of ArtNight. Don’t miss the fun this spring.

    Participating Cultural Institutions

    Armory Center For The ArtsBetween Words and Silence: The Work of Translation featuring contemporary photography and media-based work by artists from Brazil, Colombia, Japan, Mexico, Saipan, Spain and the U.S. Also seven Los Angeles-based artists create interactive, human propelled wearable floats in a deconstructed parade in Tote Your Float.

    Art Center College of DesignYoshio Ikezaki: ELEMENTS, 1991-2016, is a survey of transcendent paper sculptures and ink-on-paper paintings. In the Student Gallery, amazing work will also be on display.

    artWorks Teen Center – Through live performance and visual arts, teens display their talents. The evening includes hands-on printmaking and screen-printing, alongside musical entertainment.

    City of Pasadena – City Hall – Enjoy a snack and listen to live music as you wait for a free shuttle to one of the participating cultural venues.

    Jackie Robinson Community Center – Learn about the legacy of Jackie & Mack Robinson as well as African American Art.

    Kidspace Children’s Museum – Explore the rich culture of the indigenous people of the region and connect with the art and history of the Native Americans that called the Arroyo Seco home.

    Light Bringer Project @ Day OneBloom: Fabric and light installations, anime art, Far Eastern music and eclectic treats. Local artists and Room 13 creative studios.

    Lineage Performing Arts Center – Presenting selections from the Lineage Dance Company, along with special guests.

    MUSE/IQUE – Enjoy a dance party at the Paseo Colorado as MUSE/IQUE invites you to Motown/Pasadena. Artists place a wild spin on the Motown hits you love.

    Norton Simon Museum – Enjoy works by Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Degas and Picasso plus sculpture from India and Southeast Asia.

    Pasadena Central Library – Have fun with a night of dance, music and fun, during live performances from local bands.

    Pasadena City College – Tim Hawkinson solo show in the Boone Family Art Gallery. In Gallery V-108 will be the three person show, Lynn Aldrich, Miyoshi Barosh and Doug Harvey.

    Pasadena Conservatory of Music – Continuous classical, multicultural and interactive performances throughout multiple venues on PCM’s campus.

    Pasadena Museum of California Art – Historic painting The Golden Twenties: Portraits and Figure Paintings by Joseph Kleitsch, vibrant prints in Gustave Baumann in California, and contemporary sculpture in Interstitial.

    Pasadena Museum of History – Arts & Crafts and mid-century ceramics exhibits Batchelder: Tilemaker and Cast & Fired now feature additional tiles and sketches on display.

    PUSD – No Boundaries – Showcasing the talents of Pasadena Unified students, No Boundaries 12. More than 400 artworks are on view, representing every school and accompanied by student performances.

    Shumei Art Council – Dynamic Japanese drumming at 6:15, 7:15, 8:15, or 9:15 P.M. along with handmade paper exhibits, crafts corner, snacks and more.

    Food Trucks

    Throughout ArtNight, enjoy delicious food from some of LA County’s favorite food trucks and 10% of the proceeds will help support future ArtNights.

    Free Shuttles

    Park at any one venue and take the free shuttles. The shuttles will run all evening.

    Pasadena Transit

    Pasadena Transit 10 will run along Colorado Boulevard and Green Street until 8:00 PM.

    Metro

    Receive cool stuff when you ride Metro by showing your valid TAP card, Metro employee ID, or LA County employee ID at select ArtNight sites. Take the Gold Line to Memorial Park Station then walk one block to City Hall or the Armory to ride the free shuttles. Metro bus and rail transportation to Pasadena runs until 2:00 A.M.
