    A new music and arts festival will take place for the first time this summer in the area surrounding the Rose Bowl Stadium, which is located in the lower Arroyo Seco, the festival’s namesake. Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Alabama Shakes, Mumford & Sons, Weezer and The Mowgli’s are just a few of the 30 acts in the lineup that will perform on three stages. The festival takes place on the last weekend of June with performances on Saturday and Sunday.

    Food Festival Caliber

    Food at Arroyo Seco Weekend will be curated as meticulously as the music — chefs and restaurants from Pasadena and Los Angeles will be featured at this festival. Expect the culinary talents of Bruce Kalman of Union Pasadena, Walter Matzke of Republique, Ray Garcia of Broken Spanish, and the cult of Roy Choi will be pleased with Chego, Kogi, and LocoL.     Arroyo Seco Weekend is taking advantage of LA’s growing Metro Rail system and bike travel, offering festivalgoers the option to avoid freeway traffic and parking at the Rose Bowl. Alternatives→

    Directions for Taking the Gold Line

    • Take the Metro Gold Line to Memorial Park Station in Pasadena

    • Walk four blocks to Rose Bowl shuttles at Parsons Corporation [map]

    A free bike valet will be available at the Rose Bowl Stadium and Metro allows bikes on trains.
