Alexander’s Steakhouse is a modern American steakhouse, its innovative approach is elegant and globally inspired. Their menu features Certified Angus Beef corn-fed from the Midwest, and steaks that have been dry-aged for 28 days. They focus on fine and luxurious ingredients including imported wagyu beef.
Their philosophy is to provide exciting and interesting wines while holding true to the idea of a classic American steakhouse.

Executive Chef Matt Bata
In 2010 Matt moved to San Francisco to be opening Sous Chef at Alexander’s Steakhouse along with Executive Chef Marc Zimmerman. Throughout the next 4 years Matt was exposed to some of the finest ingredients San Francisco had to offer. Experience the Chef’s Table
The Chef’s table rests on the corner of the kitchen and can accommodate a party of four. Due to the custom nature of this experience, reservations are required in advance and can only be made in person or over the phone.
The culinary team will design a custom tasting menu based around the highest quality ingredients at the peak of their season. Together you will explore a variety of techniques and flavors. Expect surprises along the way. The menu will be yours to keep and will not be duplicated. Menus start at $185; beverage pairings are available upon request.
Private dining options include three private dining rooms, a semi-private patio or a venue buyout great for events. Alexander’s is a good fit for client dinners, cocktail receptions, board meetings, and ten-course food and wine pairings. Wine Library (16 guests)
The Wine Library is a good fit for an elegant and intimate gathering. Wine Director, Andy Brady has selected a collection of wines to pair nicely with the restaurant’s cuisine and also to enjoy on their own. It is a focal point upon entering, and wine remains the theme throughout the room. The room can be configured for board meetings, team building gatherings, chef tasting dinners with wine pairings and intimate celebrations.
West Room (40 guests)
With striking views of Pasadena City Hall outside, the West Room is a great space to entertain. It has custom shoji screens that open onto the interactive dining room or may be closed for privacy. When combined with the East Room it features an LCD projector and large screen for rehearsal dinners, board meetings, client dinners or donor appreciation events. West Room combined with East Room can accommodate 50-75 guests.
East Room (22 guests)
The East Room features a fireplace which creates an intimate and elegant ambience. This room has an LCD projector and screen built in for intimate board meetings, client dinners, team building or a celebration event. The custom shoji screens can open to the interactive dining room or they can be closed for privacy. The East Room can be combined with the West Room (read above).
Zen Patio (50-100 guests)
Lush bamboo trees surround this open air outdoor patio along with peaceful sounds from fountains. This unique, semi-private space is ideal for receptions, networking with colleagues, employee appreciation, community development or client receptions.
